Why "Wolf 5"?

Wolf 5 Consulting was started by Courtney Burnett after close to 20 years working in both the public and private sectors.  At the start of her career, Courtney spent four years on active duty with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  She spent the last 15 years in program and project management roles at large corporations managing budgets in excess of $90M.

"Wolf 5" was Courtney's radio callsign during her time spent serving as the Company Executive Officer (XO) of Charlie Company, 37th Engineering Battalion (Combat)(Airborne).  As an XO, an officer is second in command of the unit and runs the day-to-day operations of the unit so the commander can lead and execute the unit's mission(s).  

Wolf 5 strives to help organizations run more efficiently and helps define the path they should follow to grow and meet their goals thus allowing executive leadership to focus on executing the organization's mission.  Wolf 5 aims to help organizations put tools in place to help leaders better run their organizations.  Just as an XO takes care of organizing things so leaders can focus on the mission and execution, Wolf 5 wants to help companies put the right tools in place to ensure they are able to perform their best.
